Deborah Redden, a lifetime resident of the Jersey Shore, paints the
scenes that have shaped her life and constantly challenge her artistic
style. She has a Master’s Degree in Art from Pratt Institute, N.Y. and a
B.A. in Art Education from Monmouth University, N.J. She was a
professor at Monmouth University for 18 years and simultaneously a
full-time art teacher at Rumson Fair Haven High School. In 1999, she
was recognized by Senate Majority Leader John O. Bennett for her
contribution to the arts. Presently she is President of the Board of
Trustees of the Guild of Creative Art, Shrewsbury.
“Painting is my passion and my intent is to infuse that energy into my
art. I strive to capture the emotion of the scene in a spontaneous
burst of color and brush work that will result in a unique emotional
expression.”
