“Borrowing from my
training in sculpture,
I use light to ‘sculpt’ my
paintings.”
Robert Baum’s paintings focus on landscape rooted in the style of the Pennsylvania
Impressionists, working spontaneously from life and emphasizing light, color, and a lush
brushstroke.  Baum lives in Mays Landing, N.J., and is an associate artist at the Riverfront
Renaissance Center for the Arts (
www.riverfrontcenter.org) in Millville, N.J. He exhibits widely
throughout the region including the prestigious Phillips’ Mill show in Bucks County where he
has captured three sculpture awards. He is represented by the Peter McPhee Gallery
(
www.PeterMcpheeFineArts.com) in Stone Harbor, N.J.; East End Gallery in Margate, N.J.;
and Thistledown Gallery in Spring Lake, N.J.; as well as Canal Frame-Crafts Gallery
(
www.canalframe.com) in Washington Crossing, Pa.
