Throughout her life, Nessa has always worked in the fine arts. She
earned her BFA in Art and her MA in Theatre Design. She's now
retired after teaching art at the high school level for 33 years , she
also worked as a professional costume designer, and is still
active part time as an adjunct professor teaching computer art and
drawing at Bookdale Community College. Now she is finally able
to pursue her painting full time.
Nessa's work in pastels and watercolor is done both in the studio
and en plein air. She particularly enjoys painting landscapes, still
lives, and house portraits. Her paintings are in private collections
throughout the Northeast , Mid-west, and Florida. She has won
awards locally for her work and is represented by the Guild of
Creative Art in Shrewbury.
"Finding the special moments and moods of everyday places and
trying to capture their essence in my work is my challenge and
delight. Sharing them through my paintings is my pleasure."
