Lee Jamieson began her art
studies in watercolor at the Art
Students League  in the mid-80's
and began showing her work at
various galleries at the Jersey
Shore in 1992.  She transitioned
to oils in 1998 and portraiture was
her main focus.

When the newly formed PAPJC
were painting on location in
Spring Lake in 2004, Lee spied
the outdoor set-ups, the artists at
work, and knew right then that this
was her new mission.

"I find painting on site extremely challenging and although every start may not end up
as a work 'en plein air', I am able to use it as a reference when I do a larger piece in
my studio.  I love everything about this process and look forward to painting every
day."
