| Celeste C. Gober Celeste’s interest in art began with drawing as a child and was nurtured at the High School of Art and Design in N.Y. City studying photography. She continued in N.Y. at the School of Visual Arts, studying filmmaking and graphic design, obtaining her B.F.A. in Media Arts. Trips to Yellowstone, and Glacier National Parks developed her appreciation of wild nature, which she seeks out near her home by the Jersey shore. Plein air painting provides her greatest challenge and joy in her growth as an artist. She has studied at the Guild of Creative Art in Shrewsbury, and with other local artists including Tony Ventura. Her understanding of values and composition has been greatly aided by her workshops in Wyoming with master landscape painter Scott L.Christensen. |
